We offer quick‑hire aerial photo/video services, cinematic action coverage, and official Flight Reviews. Our experienced location discovery team can also register your property in BC’s digital film library for industry use. Editing options include colour correction, music, VFX, and other enhancements to elevate your final project.
Our services are fully customizable to your budget with clear, transparent pricing.
MSI Drones stays current with Transport Canada regulations, is fully insured, and is accredited to provide online flight courses and Advanced Operations Flight Reviews.

I flew a kite as a kid. I could see the world through the eyes of that kite
Aviation has been part of Mick’s life from the start, growing up in a Canadian Air Force family. At the same time, a love for cinema took hold — helped by the constant presence of a theatre on every base. Today, Mick is a 25‑year veteran of the Hollywood and international film industry, having worked alongside legendary actors and directors. He is a full member of the Directors Guild of Canada and serves as Creative Director of MSI Drones.
Driven by a passion for storytelling through videography, Mick brings ideas to life with creativity and collaboration. Aerial cinematography is simply the next evolution of his camera lens — a way to capture the world from a new, elevated perspective.
Mick is a licensed drone pilot with Advanced Operations certification from Transport Canada and a certified Flight Reviewer. He enjoys sharing his knowledge, guiding new pilots, and supporting the next generation of drone professionals.
Susan Lockhart
Mission Control
Sure, I take my work seriously. But it's the people that matter the most.
As Business Director of MSI Drones, Susan brings over 30 years of experience in business operations. Her background includes 15 years in logistics management for a leading manufacturer of world‑class theme park attractions, working internationally with clients such as Disney and Universal Studios. She is a natural leader — resourceful, adaptable, and an exceptional problem‑solver.
For Susan, the relationships are the most rewarding part of the work. She builds and maintains strong connections with colleagues and clients, Guided by her belief that a healthy business starts with a healthy team, she brings warmth, integrity, and collaboration to everything she does. Her dedication and collaborative spirit have been instrumental in the creation and growth of MSI Drones.
